WHY NOT SHARE WHAT YOU COLLECT WITH OTHERS?
Exhibiting numismatic material at the PAN Coin Show is a popular and fun way to share your interest in a particular topic with other members and the public. You do not have to be an expert to participate. All ages of hobbyists are encouraged to display their collections.
Exhibits can be entered in competitive or non-competitive categories. All exhibitors will receive a silver round as a thank you from PAN for entering. Competitive exhibits will compete for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards in four categories; U.S. Coins, Foreign, Paper Money, Miscellaneous, and Young Numismatist (under 18 years of age). Winning exhibitors will receive a certificate, ribbon, and a current US Mint product.
Competitive exhibits are judged by American Numismatic Association standards. Exhibits are evaluated and scored by judges using a numerical point system. Some aspects that are considered in the scoring are completeness, presentation, numismatic information, degrees of rarity, and reference information. The purpose is to give the viewer a perspective and education concerning the selected topic that is being displayed.
In addition to the scored placed awards, PAN also provides a People’s Choice Award. The viewing public votes by ballot on their favorite exhibit. The exhibitor with the highest vote count receives a certificate and a current US Mint Product.
Exhibiting is a valuable educational tool and a visual way to extend your own particular interest to others and to promote the hobby of numismatics. Enjoyment is foremost in any endeavor, so have fun creating your exhibit. We at PAN look forward to seeing it and being part of the Coin Show!
