Has the U.S. Mint been consulting with NIUE? Seems like this program titled the Liberty Bell Non-Round Coins and Medals program is taking a page out of their book. The designs you see pictured speak for themselves and will be produced in both denominated gold coins and a silver medal. The CCAC sent their design recommendations to the Secretary of the Treasury in November. I'm not sure this is going to be a winner in 2026. What do you think??? ... See MoreSee Less

as many of you already know, the U.S. Mint will be releasing coins and medals honoring some DC Comic characters in 2025. The Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee has chosen the following obverse and reverse designs for the Wonder Woman issue. We think Wonder Woman has a strong resemblance to our traditional Lady Liberty. As many of you may already know the 230 copies of the Gold Privy Marked 230th Anniversary Flowing Hair Dollar Commemorative Medals are being auctioned off by Stacks Bowers. The very first struck of these coins #1/230 is currently bid to $170,000.00. Why so high? Well it is #1 and it also includes the cancelled dies and a beautiful wooden display case. We think the Mint is being very creative in supporting the hobby and hopefully the publicity will bring more eager buyers to coin shows. Sports card collecting has many similar examples of this kind of marketing and that hobby segment is thriving, especially among young people.What do you think? ... See MoreSee Less
